El Salvador Army receives another batch of 1,000 Arad Assault Rifles
So far, over 5000 rifles worth over 8 million dollars have been supplied to the army's special units

The Ministry of Defense of El Salvador recently provided the nation's army with 1,050 Arad assault rifles, with a 5.56 mm caliber, manufactured by the Israeli company IWI
This delivery is part of the process of replacing the army's assault rifles, from M16A1 rifles to Arad. So far, 4,000 Arad rifles worth $6 million have been delivered to various army units. A total of 5139 guns, valued at over $8 million, were handed over to the army.
The Israeli assault rifles are intended for the special units of the El Salvadoran army, which assist the National Civil Police (PNC) on its various missions.
No official response or comment was provided by IWI.
