IAI Unveils ELLYON, a New AI-Powered Electronic Warfare Aircraft
The new platform combines AI-driven intelligence, electronic attack and advanced sensors to detect, disrupt and shape the electromagnetic battlefield from stand-off distances

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has unveiled ELLYON, a new-generation multi-mission aircraft designed to combine intelligence gathering, electronic warfare and artificial intelligence capabilities on a single airborne platform.
Developed by IAI’s ELTA Systems division, ELLYON brings together electronic attack (EA), intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) capabilities, allowing operators to collect information, analyze threats and conduct electronic countermeasures during the same mission.
The aircraft integrates a range of advanced systems, including full-spectrum electronic jamming, signals intelligence (SIGINT), long-range SAR/GMTI radar, electro-optical sensors and wide-band satellite communications. According to IAI, the platform can operate from stand-off distances of hundreds of kilometers, reducing exposure while maintaining the ability to monitor and influence the electromagnetic environment.
At the center of ELLYON is an AI-based multi-mission management system that processes data from onboard sensors, generates intelligence insights and shares information in real time with command centers, ground stations and other aircraft.
Unlike dedicated platforms designed for a single mission, ELLYON was developed as a flexible system that can be integrated onto multiple large business jet platforms. Its electronic attack suite enables simultaneous radar and communications jamming, allowing operators to disrupt multiple types of threats and challenge integrated air defense systems.
The aircraft also includes a self-protection suite designed to detect threats, provide warnings and activate electronic countermeasures when required.
“ELLYON continues this legacy by integrating advanced intelligence collection, Electronic Attack and AI-driven mission management into a single platform,” said Boaz Levy, chairman of IAI’s board. “It provides a decisive operational advantage in an evolving battlespace.”
IAI said the technologies behind ELLYON are based on operational experience accumulated through its family of intelligence aircraft, which have supported air defense, intelligence superiority and strategic missions for Israel and international customers.
