SPACE - S0 - 20191023 - Earthquake Watch, Novae, Galactic Plane

Good Morning, Observers!

That northern coronal hole has passed the meridian, and it has grown. A new one just coming in from the Eastern lim, slightly south of the equator. Small now, but that can change. Still no active bright spots or umbral cores. Solar wind speed has dropped a bit from the high of 360 KPS yesterday (which really isn't a "high" for a coronal hole stream" to 330 KPS this morning. The new stream should impact Earth in 24-36 hours. The Phi-angle continues to jump all over the place, but it seems to be hanging closer around the 350-360 degree mark instead of 180. No heavy-permanent shift showing there. Geomagnetic levels continue in the KP-1 to KP-0 level, so keep an eye on your heart and your brain if you've got any medical issues with either, just to be safe. Looks like we had a cluster of 5.0-range quakes in the Pacific equatorial region, perhaps a foreshadowing of a larger quake. We're now over 100 days since the last Mag-7 (they normally hit every 20 days or so).
