SPACE - S0 - 20191024 - Solar Wind Impact, Cascadia Pattern, Truth Crisis
Good Morning, Observers!
No sunspots as usual, and the coronal hole has passed the midpoint. The KP Index is only starting to bump up slightly, with a KP-2 being the max in the last 24 hours. That may bump up later today, but nothing significant/dangerous expected from this flow. Plasma speed has bumped up a bit from 320 KPS yesterday to around 380 KPS now, expect it to rise further throughout the day. The new Southern hole coming in behind this one should create a few days of unrest in the stream. That shouldn't hit midpoint for 36-72 hours, though, with the solar wind effect a day or two after that. A Mag 6.3 hit north of Ascension Island yesterday, the Mag 7 drought continues.
