SPACE - S0 - 20200711 - Three Thousand, Two Hundred and Fifty Seven...

Good Morning, 0bservers!

3,257

That number is how many days Ben Davidson has posted his early morning video. In a row. No days off, no interruptions, no sick time, and I'm pretty sure that even included the birth of every one of his three children.

Until today...

Today, Ben is actually taking his family CAMPING! He'll be back tomorrow, but sadly no update video today. Don't fret, I'll let you know if the sun blew up.

Solar winds indicate the sun blew up.

Yeah, I know, kinda obvious joke. They did dip down to a low of around 300 KPS yesterday, but they "blew up" to about 345 KPS just before midnight, but seems to be around the 325-330 KPS range at this writing. Particle density and temperature are slightly lower than yesterday, though. And despite yesterday's brief KP-2 reading, they immediately dropped back into the doldrums with KP-1s and KP-0s. X-Ray Flux readings remain low, but the Phi Angle keeps shifting in the 160° to 10° range. Getting more coronal holes passing the midpoint, and we've got a new coronal "tendril" coming up from the South pole region. More bright spots are glowing in the Eastern lim, so we'll see what transpires with those. I will say that the WSA-ENLIL video over at SWPC is showing what appears to be an ejection from the sun, but well AHEAD of our orbit so the risk to Earth is zero to negligible. Speaking of Earth, very little lithospheric activity in the past 24 hours, with only a half a dozen blot echos (all below Mag 5.0) and a Mag 5.0 temblor along the Pacific-Antarctic Ridge.
