SPACE - S0 - 20200713 - Weather Alert, Terrestrial Gamma Flashes, Climate Science

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Ended up with some oddities in the DISCOVR charts for solar wind speeds, so I had to switch over to ACE this morning. Solar winds stayed steady to lower most of yesterday, but did have a minor upward bump to around 320-330 KPS, This was after a particle density rise caused by a pretty sharp Phi Angle shift. That shift may have bumped us out of a possible Zero Day Alert, as we got two KP-2 readings after midnight on the KP-Index after a full day of KP-1 readings. Some disorganized coronal holes are trying to develop in the low latitudes, but I don't think we'll see anything out of these. Saw a minor coronal release on the lower Southeast lim at 304Å, but this will have no effect on Earth. The lithosphere was a bit more active, with a Mag 5.0 in Venezuela, a Mag 5.0 East off Mutsu Japan, yet another Mag 5.0 off Indonesia, a Mag 5.2 off Micronesia, and a Mag 5.2 South of the Kermadec Islands.
