SPACE - S0 - 20200706 - Magnetic Excursion, Many Nova, Why It's So Difficult

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar winds remain elevated, with a current speed around 500 KPS after some peaks hitting 540 KPS yesterday. That said, the KP-Index stayed in the green, but the readings were dominated by KP-3 entries, so things are busy up there. We did see a "bulge" in the X-Ray Flux chart for about half a day, due mostly to the bright spot activity across the solar face. There were several "pops" on the Earth-facing side getting closer to the midpoint, but there was also a moderate ejection seen on the LASCO C3 as well as the solar video filtered at 304Å (ionized helium) coming off the Southeast lim. The latter is aimed AWAY from Earth, so we won't see any effects from that particular discharge. The lithosphere was REALLY quiet yesterday, with only two blot echos noted. However, one of them was a Mag 5.9 off the coasts of Vanuatu, but still pretty close to the islands.
