Looks like that coronal hole stream finally got to Earth last night. Solar wind speed ramped up from yesterday's 350 KPS to a peak of just under 500 KPS, which is underwhelming to say the least. Current speed is hovering around 450 KPS, and the KP Index has remained relatively calm with just KP-1s and KP-2s across the board. When the wind speed picked up, the electron count dropped precipitously, and it's only now starting to slowly rise. A new batch of coronal holes in the Northern hemisphere are heading toward the meridian There was an actual filament release/CME from the bright spot, but still no sunspots or magnetic complexity. It was released toward solar SouthEast near the lim, so it's doubtful we'll have any issues with it. The actual bright spot should reach the midpoint some time tomorrow. Not too much lithospheric activity, but Mt. Morapi did erupt, albeit not what you'd call a massive volcanic discharge.
