SPACE - S0 - 20191121 - Meteor Storm, Highest Energy Gamma Burst, Earthquake

Good Morning, Observers!

The Northern coronal hole stream finally arrived last night, with a sharp uptick in solar wind speed (450 KPH, from yesterday's nadir of 310 kps). The KP Index finally got off the floor as well, bumping up the the KP-2 range, still well within safe limits. The geoelectric map showed some activity, but nothing major. There was a sharp drop in the electron counts when the winds hit. The bright area is moving further toward the Western lim and further away from the danger zone for Earth, showing some tall prominences but still no magnetic complexity or underlying sunspots. Still risky, but the risk is dropping. A bit of lithospheric activity in Thailand, with a Mag 6.1 (12 KM deep), no reports yet of serious damage or casualties. It followed a Mag 5.7 three hours previous, so the "aftershock" was harder than the first one.

Edited to add: here's the video he mentioned from last night...
