SPACE - S0 - 20191219 - Solar Watch, Climate Court, Special Video Coming
Good Morning, Observers!
Solar wind speeds continued to climb yesterday to a peak of 550 KPS overnight, current speed around 530 KPS. A bump in the particle density presaged the speed increase, as well as a Phi Angle shift shortly thereafter. The KP Index rose into the KP-3 to KP-4 (low level storm, no worries) range yesterday and overnight. There was a corresponding drop in electron density. Also, a new bright spot crossed the Eastern lim at around 40° North, so we'll be keeping an eye on that. S0 reported a Mag. 5.9 off New Zealand, but I couldn't find it in the two main quake reporting sites. There was a Mag 5.5 off Easter Island, around 10KM deep, otherwise a relatively quiescent planet.
