Good Morning, Observers!
Solar winds rose about midday UTC yesterday, building up to around 430-440 KPS, but has settled back down to the 360 KPS range. There was no corresponding rise in particle density just prior to the speed increase, but it would appear this was the coronal hole stream. KP indexes stayed relatively calm again, with KP-2s and KP-1s, but the last three readings are on the deck again at KP-0. A new coronal hole seems to be starting around the equator, but it is dispersed and not fully formed. Aftershocks in the Mag 5 range still plague the Philippines, but the rest of the lithosphere is relatively quiet.
