SPACE - S0 - 20191221 - Storms, Fire, Magnetar Bursts, Galactic Cores

Good Morning, Observers!

Solar winds continued to drop down to around 390 KM, and the KP Index stayed in the KP-1 to KP-2 range, with a couple of KP-0s tucked in there. The second KP-0 allowed for a cosmic ray spike on the detectors. The bright spot continues its march toward the meridian, and it is at a latitude where it might be risky if it pops at the wrong time. The new coronal hole system just reached the midpoint, so you can expect a rise in solar winds early next week. Guatemala got whacked with a second Mag 5.9 yesterday morning, and a second Mag 5.5 hit the same spot in West Africa as yesterday as well, so God must REALLY have a grudge with these folks (insert cheeky grin here). No, seriously, hoping the folks there are safe because these don't appear to be aftershocks so much as reruns, which sucks for them. There was also a deep (210 KM) Mag 6.1 blot echo is Afghanistan, which was the strongest temblor in the last 24 hours.
