Good Morning, 0bservers!
A calmer day overall, with solar winds dropping from a high of 500 KPS yesterday to a current range of 420-430 KPS. The particle density and temperature also moved down a bit, but the Phi Angle was jumping around quite a bit over the last 24 hours. Even with that, however, the KP Index moved lower, with most of the readings at KP-1 with a few KP-2s mixed in. The Electron flux briefly hit the warning threshold yesterday but it seems have calmed down since then. The X-ray flux remains in the A-range, with a couple of spikes getting close to the B-range. Will be keeping an eye on that. And here's an oddity - look at this GIF and you'll see what appears to be a major CME on the OPPOSITE side of the Sun. Zero effect for us, but quite a site on the chart...
The Northeast bright spot still lacks complexity, but it is certainly a sight to see on the looping video. No other major bright spots appear, but a few small ones go in and out of existence without causing any problems for us. No new coronal holes have developed, so we're in good shape there as well. Two quakes of note since yesterday's report - a Mag 5.3 in China, and a Mag 5.5 north of East Timor.
