Happy Easter, 0bservers!
Yesterday's rise in particle density did presage a rise in solar wind speeds, but it appears to be a rather weak coronal hole stream output. Winds are 430-470 KPS range, which is about mid-range for the speed. The KP Index rose a bit after midday, with mostly KP-2s (and a KP-3 thrown in for fun), all still well within the green range. The new bright spots haven't really done anything much since yesterday, but there was a small coronal hole that passed the midpoint at the equator. I doubt there'll be much incoming from that. The lithosphere was gettin' jigg(l)y with it yesterday, with a Mag 5.0 in Greece, a Mag 5.3 about 18 miles SE of Bodie, California, a Mag 5.1 60 miles SE of Neiafu, Tonga, and a rather interesting Mag 6.1 about 60 miles North of Amsterdam Island, in the French Southern and Antarctic Lands (the alert system said "France" but it's nowhere near Cheese-Eating-Surrender-Monkey-Land, so don't worry, the Brie is SAFE!).
