There was a particle density increase in mid-afternoon yesterday, and a short time later the solar wind ceased its downward slope and jumped from around 350 KPS to nearly 480 KPS in less than two hours. It has stayed in the 450-480 KPS range since then. The temperature took a sharp upward jump at the same time. The Phi Angle was slightly mixed but there were no wild shifts in magnetism. All this activity did drag the KP-Index off the deck, but it still stayed within the green, with only a single KP-3 spike after the solar winds perked up. The X-Ray Flux levels have stopped spiking, and while the Southern sunspot group is still magnetically complex, we've lucked out that it hasn't decided to blow its top as it passed central heliographic longitude. It did have a "pop" but no effect outside the heliosphere. Had a pair of temblors in Iran (Mag 5.4, then a Mag 5.7 about 70 minutes later), a Mag 5.1 off Indonesia, and a Mag 5.9 blot echo 370 miles off Fiji (about 340 miles deep).
