SPACE - S0 - 20200814 - Ocean Shutdown is Unstoppable, Betelgeuse Mystery x2
Good Morning, 0bservers!
Looks like they fixed the DSCOVR charts from yesterday (well, more or less) and now that the readings are stabilized we're seeing solar winds remain stabilized around 300 KPS (+/- 25 KPS). Density and temperature are also steady. The KP-Index finally popped its head above the doldrums, popping up a KP-2 reading for the first time in days. We did see a couple of spikes on the X-Ray Flux charts getting close to Class B, coming from the Southern bright spots. Those bright spots do seem to have some magnetic instabilities underneath from the Solar Visible Light video, but they're not actual sunspots - not yet, anyway. There's a branching of the coronal hole at the South pole, extending Northward, as well as a few holes dotted along the equator. We only had a few quakes yesterday, a Mag 5.0 in Tanzania again, a Mag 5.2 South of Tonga, and a Mag 5.3 off the West coast of Mexico, although we also had a Mag 5.4 blot echo South of False Pass, Alaska.
