SPACE - S0 - 20200816 - Electrodynamic Sky, Cosmos, Lightning/Magnetic Field

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar winds are currently in the 320-330 KPS range, rising up from a low of 270 KPS just a bit after midnight. Not a coronal hole stream, because we're still well within low-normal range. There was a rise in particle density, but this occurred after the speed increase. The Phi Angle is still a bit all over the dial, but it doesn't seem to be causing instability otherwise. We've dodged another Zero Day bullet after 48 hours of KP-0s and KP-1s, with a KP-2 popping up around 0300. The Northernmost tendril from the Southern coronal hole passed the midpoint overnight. The equatorial holes seem to have been absorbed so we won't be seeing any effect from those. The Northern bright spot has passed the Western lim, but the other bright spots are still active, with a spike in the X-Ray Flux which didn't quite reach B Class flaring. There was also a minor CME at the Western lim, but it was pointing well away from Earth, so we're good in that regard. As to the lithosphere, the only quake of note was another temblor in the Easter Islands region at Mag 5.1 (down from yesterday's Mag 5.7), with a few mild blot echos in and along the Ring of Fire.
