SPACE - S0 - 20200823 - Solar Forcing, Geoengineering, Storm Alerts

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar winds remained up all of yesterday, staying mostly in the 325-365 KPS range with some variability. Did have a jump up to 400 KPS a couple of hours ago, but that's calmed back down to about 375 KPS. Those earlier variances seem to have been driven in part by the Phi Angle, which was whipping around the polarity dial quite a bit. Particle density and temperatures remained elevated but generally steady. The KP-Index is up off the floor, with KP-2 readings dominating and a KP-3 popping in there just before midnight. Had a few more minor flare spikes on the X-Ray Flux charts, popping into the Class A range, so the bright spots are just sputtering a bit. We're seeing some coronal hole development in the North, independent of the Polar hole but they could merge as they grow/progress. Also saw a couple holes develop along the equator near the midpoint, so we'll see if anything comes of that by Wednesday. No new quakes, just a short list of blot echo activity ranging from Mag 4.6 to Mag 5.0.
