SPACE - S0 - 20210213 - Earth Skeleton, Rotation Glitches, Climate

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Looks like the Sun decided that my last report was too damn dull, so it decided to spice up its readings a bit. Just for YOU! So, where to start, where to start...

Oh, yeah! Solar Wind Speed! It went UP! We had a jump in Particle Density around midnight UTC, when the solar wind speeds were around 350 KPS (they'd almost hit 300 KPS around 1400 UTC yesterday) but by 0400, there was a definite uptick and we're now seeing speeds in the 500-550 KPS range. Temperatures also rose around the same time and rate. The Phi Angle started to return to 0° around 1600 UTC, but its scrambled nature didn't have any negative impacts on the other readings. Yesterday morning's KP-Index readings were quite calm, but in the afternoon they began to rise to the KP-2 to KP-3 range where they've remained. There's a slim chance we might see a KP-4 or two (minor geomagnetic storm) pop into the chart sporadically overnight and early tomorrow. Proton Flux and Electron Flux readings are nominal. The Magnetometer, on the other hand, took a pretty sharp dive overnight to around 30 nanoTeslas, 10 below the lower threshold. X-Ray Flux readings were pretty steady for the past 60 hours, but we did have a minor bump/flare on the charts around 0500 UTC, not even reaching the midway point on the Class A flare chart. The Southern coronal hole continues its turn-through across the midpoint with the small sunspot group degrading behind it, but we're seeing development of a pretty large coronal hole system in the North, about 36-48 hours away from central heliographic longitude.
