SPACE - S0 - 20210208 - Confirmed: Earth Magnetic Cycle, Galactic Sheet

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar wind speeds remained mostly in the 500-550 KPS range yesterday after the coronal hole streams hit. However, we're seeing a pretty good decline after midnight UTC, down to around 460 KPS now. Particle Density and Temperature remain stable to slightly lower than the previous report. The Phi Angle, on the other hand, was pretty much all over the charts yesterday, only beginning to stabilize around 0600 UTC. Yesterday morning's brief foray into the Geomagnetic Storm (red) range has calmed back down to green, moving from KP-5 readings down to the current KP-1/KP-2 range. The Proton Flux and Electron Flux are nominal, as is the Magnetometer which recovered from a dip below 40 nanoTeslas early yesterday morning. The background X-Ray Flux rose a bit to about 1/3rd on the Class A flare range, with a spike around 0600 UTC into the middle of that chart. Might've been spurred by the Phi Angle shift.
