SPACE - S0 - 20210215 - Earth Cycle, Solar Forcing, New Planets Discovered

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar wind speeds have become more quiescent for the past 36 hours. It dropped from a peak of 500 KPS early yesterday down to the 310-330 KPS range this morning. Particle Density and Temperature also went down, and the Phi Angle got a bit scrambled a couple of time but has returned to polar stability. The KP-Index stayed low all of yesterday with KP-1s predominating the chart, with a few KP-2s and KP-0s thrown in for variety. Nominal readings on the Magnetometer, Proton Flux and Electron Flux. The X-Ray Flux was also calm, showing only a slight rise in the baseline from the bottom of the Class A flare range, with no spikes or surges evident. The Northern coronal hole will complete its passage today, but the Southern one seems to be growing a tendril from the pole that could cross today/tonight, and there's a new Southern coronal hole developing in the mid-latitudes. We'll have to see if it does a polar connection itself before it hits the midpoint. The Southern sunspot has pretty much crapped out (yes, that's a scientific term) and isn't even at Alpha complexity anymore. Not seeing any new development either on the Magnetogram from SOHO, nor much in the way of brightening at the lim.
