SPACE - S0 - 20210219 - SCIENCE FIGHT - Magnetic Pole Flip Extinctions

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Particle Density was steady most of yesterday, but around 0200 UTC it started a slow rise. This has not, however, had a negative effect on solar wind speeds, which have been in the 370-385 KPS range since midnight UTC (and didn't move all that much yesterday either). Temperature, on the other hand, dropped around the same time the Particle Density rose. The Phi Angle was mostly steady yesterday, but it did do some shifting this morning around 0200 UTC and 0600 UTC, returning soon after to its polar starting point. The KP-Index was calmer for most of yesterday, with KP-1 readings predominating. It's a bit up to KP-2 readings this morning, but it's all in the green so we're good, geomagnetically speaking. Magnetometer, Proton Flux and Electron Flux charts are all nominal. X-Ray Flux background levels remain elevated, and we had a couple spikes into the lower Class B flare range both yesterday and today. That proto-sunspot I mentioned yesterday has crossed the lim, and the Magnetogram image is showing definite Beta-level complexity (perhaps even Beta-Delta) and you can see the activity at 193Å. The video loop for 304Å is also showing a lot of filament activity at and near the lim, and most definitely over the sunspot grouping.
