Good Morning, 0bservers!
We've seen a steady decrease in solar wind speed from yesterday's peak of 680 KPS to its current 500 KPS. That said, the KP Index stayed in the high end of the safe range, almost all at KP-3 until just before midnight UTC when it bumped up to KP-4, but it has ramped down since then, from 3 to 2 to 1 (current). That matched a sharp ramp-up in high energy electrons, spiking above the safe level at 10³ MeV. The Northern coronal hole has now passed the meridian, and a small equatorial hole has formed just behind it, so we may see the effects from these by Monday. The lithosphere was a bit more active than yesterday, with a Mag 5.5 at the Drake Passage, a Mag 5.2 off Chile and a Mag 5.5 off Indonesia.
