SPACE - S0 - 20200219 - Small Solar Storm, Big Weather, Star-Planet Magnetism

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Looks like we've finally got some coronal hole activity hitting the planet, with a ramp up from midnight UTC of 360 KPS to a high of 500 KPS (currently 470 KPS) . The KP Index stayed mostly in the KP-3 range yesterday, but it actually spiked up to KP-5 (the "red" zone) and then dropped back to KP-4, so we'll see how this pans out for the rest of the day. Either way, it does count as a geomagnetic storm, therefore keep an eye out for minor technological and health issues.  Some patch and disperse coronal holes crossed the midpoint, but I'm not seeing anything coalescing behind them at 193Å. As to earthquakes, the only stuff we've got to report is a handful of blot echoes, with no temblors at or above Mag 5.0 reported. That may be changing depending on the length and strength of the solar winds and other geomagnetic activity.
