SPACE - S0 - 20200225 - Ongoing Magnetic Excursion Triggered by the Sun
Good Morning, 0bservers!
We saw a slow downturn in the solar winds since yesterday, now hovering around the 350 KPS range. Predictably, the KP Index stayed well in the green range, with KP-1s and KP-0s dominating the chart. That coronal hole tendril coming up from the South Pole seems to have collapsed just as it was about to pass the meridian, with little new activity elsewhere on the disk. And those bright spots that dotted the surface seem to have mostly faded, so I'm not overly concerned about any potential flare activity. That said, sunspots are sometimes sneaky little buggers, and can pop up when you least expect them. Looks like the lithosphere has calmed down a bit, with only one quake of note - a Mag 5.2 off the coast of Peru, with everything else in the blot echo range.
