SPACE - S0 - 20200218 - Record Snow, Nova Rings, Zharko-fail

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar winds started going up a while ago, bumping briefly over 400 KPS to a current 380 KPS, but it appears that this rise was caused not by coronal hole activity but a Phi-Angle shift. That rise did increase the low KP Index readings up to KP-3, with the latest reading at KP-4 (moderate risk). The Phi-Angle shift caused a major drop in the magnetometer readings and a strong dip in high-energy electrons. The coronal hole from the South pole appears to have collapsed as it reached the midpoint, so don't expect too much from that in the next few days. The lithosphere was a bit busier yesterday, with a Mag 5.4 off Japan, a Mag 5.1 not too far from Chile, a Mag 5.2 North of Svalbard, and the usual scatterings of blot echo activity.
