SPACE - S0 - 20200308 - Sunspots, Catastrophe Science & Evidence

Good Morning, 0bservers!

CURSE YOU BEN FRANKLINNNNNN!!!

Sorry, but I HATE Daylight "Saving" Time...

Anyway, on to the news. The solar winds were a bit of a roller coaster yesterday, dipping down for a while after the previous report, then rising to 390 KPS, then dropping to 330 KPS, then spiking to around 410 KPS, with the last report at 380 KPS. You need Dramamine for this ride, lemmetellsya... And yet, with all of that, the KP Index stayed well within the calm range, mostly KP-2s with some KP-1s and KP-0s at the slower points. Coronal holes have passed the meridian, so we may see some effects in the next 48-72 hours. The lithosphere remains quiet, with a Mag 5.1 along the West Chile Rise, and a Mag 5.2 in Portugal.
