SPACE - S0 - 20200909 - Sun, Climate, Space Dust, MWA Hunts Aliens

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar winds stayed pretty low yesterday, mostly because they couldn't figure out how to go any lower. The whole day and night was spent in the 300-320 KPS range, with matching stability in the temperature and particle density. We did see a Phi Angle shift around midday, but it appeared to be a "clean" one, in that it didn't have a negative effect on readings. The KP-Index remained on the deck, with mostly KP-1s and a couple of KP-0s as well. If this keeps up, we may end up with a Zero Day Alert, so keep an eye on things if you have medical issues. The Electron Flux was above the threshold most of yesterday, but it actually is starting to dip below that in the overnight readings so far. The X-Ray Flux is pretty much at or below the Class A line. Saw what looks like a minor CME on the ENLIL Spiral chart, but the expulsion will end up flowing behind Earth's orbit. Tried to see that on the various solar videos at different wavelengths, but I couldn't see it bloom. There is a coronal hole thread connecting up to the Southern polar hole, but it's not fully formed as yet as it heads toward the midpoint. Still, we should be seeing some effect for it by the weekend - just depends how MUCH effect. The Northern polar hole has grown larger, but hasn't extended to the lower latitudes. After yesterday's quake report, I was surprised this morning to see only two new entries. No blot echo activity, just two temblors literally at the same location -- about 120 miles Southeast of Sarangani Philippines, a Mag 5.3 followed 3.5 hours later by a Mag 5.6.
