SPACE - S0 - 20200914 - The Coldest Star, Correcting Bad Science, Weather

Good Morning, 0bservers!

We had a pretty good rise in particle density starting in the mid-evening, but we haven't seen a strong uptick in solar wind speeds until around 0430 EDT when it jumped from 340 KPS to just under 400 KPS in a matter of minutes. Temperature rose as well, so I'm guessing we're in that coronal hole stream from late last week. This is mirrored by the KP-Index jumping up to KP-3 (don't worry, still in the safe range) just before midnight UTC and remaining there. The Electron Flux finally seems to be calming back down to the normal range, just barely breaching the threshold level instead of leaping above it. We did see a very brief spike in the X-Ray Flux up into high Class A range, but it settled right back down. The solar video at 173Å showed a minor "pop" from the departing Southern bright  spot, but I don't see it having any negative effects on us due to its position. The lithosphere was more active yesterday, starting with a Mag 5.1 South of the Kermadec Islands, a Mag 5.0 about 10 miles South of Uglegorsk Russia, and another Mag 5.0 South of the Mariana Islands.
