SPACE - S0 - 20200911 - Nova Trigger, Space Lensing Mystery, Van Allen Belts

Good Morning, 0bservers!

We're still in the KP-Index doldrums, with only three KP-1 readings in the past 24 hours, with all the rest at KP-0, so the Cosmic Ray risk still exists, if at a slightly lower level. Solar wind speeds remain depressed in the 260-280 KPS range. We did see a rise in particle density around 2000 UTC, but it hasn't had a knock-on effect. Phi Angle readings seem stable. Electron Flux is still having "daytime" readings above the threshold, but the do cycle well below it before going up (albeit a little less) each time. The X-Ray Flux is still sub-Class A for the most part, so no obvious flare activity. That has visual confirmation on the various videos. The Southern coronal holes extended up from the polar region across the equator, and is passing the midpoint as I type, so any effect from this won't be evident until perhaps Monday. The Northern hole is also large and in play, but only due to our orbital position. That Southern bright spot is also crossing the midpoint, but I'm still not seeing any magnetic complexity beneath it. Doesn't mean it can't/won't surprise us, but it's a lesser risk. The lithosphere didn't have much going on, about eight blot echos in the Mag 4.2-5.0 range, and a deep (24 mile) Mag 6.3 near Tocopilla Chile.
