SPACE - S0 - 20200903 - New Solar Forcing, Top Space Science, Cascadia

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Definitely seeing calming in the solar winds, down to around 450 KPS right now after a mostly steady slide from yesterday's peak of nearly 550 KPS. Temperature and particle density have also gone down, and the Phi Angle seems to have stabilized after midnight. The KP-Index has been stepping down, almost literally, from the storms of two days ago, from KP-3, to KP-2, to KP-1, down to a KP-0 reading after midnight. The X-Ray Flux readings are up to the higher end of Class A flares, but there were no obvious ejections or pops from the surface videos (at least not on the available wavelengths). It appears those were just from the number and size of all the bright spots (which still don't show any underlying sunspot activity). Electron Flux is also higher today than the previous three. Nothing new in the coronal hole department. Not too much new to report in quakes either, with a Mag 5.2 about 100 miles off Indonesia, a Mag 5.3 85 miles off Panama, a Mag 5.4 off Papua New Guinea, and a Mag 5.0 off Vanuatu, with a smattering of blot echo activity to round out the report.
