SPACE - S0 - 20201027 - Magnetic Shift & Anomaly Maps, Climate Omission
Good Morning, 0bservers!
Saw a lot of up-and-down variability in the solar wind speeds yesterday, with a couple spikes above 600 KPS, but it has slowed down since midnight to the 510-540 KPS range. Particle Density has been pretty horizontal, but the temperature readings are showing the same variability as the speed, just without a significant drop. The Phi Angle looks like somebody right next to the satellite is using a blender with a bad motor, because it's just looks like scrambled interference, but it has stabilized slightly since midnight UTC, so that galactic Margarita must be ready now. The KP-Index had a couple more KP-4 (minor geomagnetic storm) readings yesterday, but mostly stayed in the KP-2 to KP-3 range otherwise. The Magnetometer readings are more stable in their crest/ebb cycle. The Electron Flux has remained mostly above the threshold since Sunday, with one minor dip below the line. The X-Ray Flux, on the other hand, had a steady rise into the Class B flare range, with a couple spikes into the low-to-mid Class C range. Oddly, though, it was not that new Southern sunspot group responsible for the spikes, because you can see on three different wavelengths a large coronal release in the Northern hemisphere, well behind the (relatively) minor bright spot up there. The lithosphere was pretty quiet, though, with only a Mag 5.0 about 50 miles NE of Bāfq Iran.
