SPACE - S0 - 20201007 - Predicting Nova, Storm Watch, Winning Sim
Good Morning, 0bservers!
Solar winds have calmed further from yesterday's report, now in the 320-340 KPS region. However, particle density is much higher. That surge yesterday, along with the Phi Angle, caused the KP-Index to hop up into the yellow range. Not the case today. Despite the elevated levels, the KP-Index dropped down to KP-1 levels throughout the day and night. The Electron Flux is still below the threshold, and the X-Ray Flux has also dropped further to near the bottom of the Class A flare range. No coronal holes on the surface this morning, and no new bright spots as yet. About the only activity were some prominences on the lim (pretty to look at, but not a risk to Earth). We had a ton of blot echo activity yesterday, but only one temblor of note - a Mag 5.4 in the South Shetland Islands.

Apologies for such a short report today, folks. Feels like I went 10 rounds with the dentist yesterday. Jaw's still sore after he had to wrestle two back teeth. Knew I was in trouble when he hooked up the winch on his pickup truck... ;)
