SPACE - S0 - 20210107 - Earth's Rotation Glitches Are Speeding Up

Solar wind speeds are calming from yesterdays high of 640 KPS, down to the 450-470 KPS range. Particle Density also went down through the day, with a slight rise around 0800 UTC, while Temperature followed the wind speed decline. The KP-Index also dropped back down to the KP-2/KP-1 range, and the Magnetometer mellowed out its wild swings back into the nominal range. Proton Flux and Electron Flux also remained nominal. The X-Ray Flux had a brief spike into the middle of the Class A flare range, but otherwise it's pretty calm up there. The video loops are showing some coronal hole development in the Southern lower to mid latitudes, but no sunspot or bright spot groupings.
