SPACE - S0 - 20210119 - Mantle Conductivity & Rotation Glitches, Nebulae, Fluff Planet

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Looks like we finally got the coronal hole stream from the weekend, as solar wind speeds moved from a daytime low of 270 KPS up to a peak of 330 KPS. Particle Density levels rose prior to the speed increase (as expected) and have already returned to their nominal position. Temperatures followed the wind speed pattern, and a Phi-Angle shift seems to have timed in right with Density. KP-Index levels were mostly calm, but we did get a KP-3 just after midnight, bracketed by a couple of KP-2s. Proton Flux and Electron Flux readings remain nominal, but the GOES Magnetometer is swinging higher and lower in its daily roller coaster ride across the cosmos. The background X-Ray Flux had returned to the middle of the Class A flare range for most of yesterday with no real spikes, but in the past few hours it has been climbing back to just below Class B with a couple surges above the line to round it out. Tracking the new BACH (big-a$$ed coronal hole) in the Southern hemisphere just below the equator and just in front of a new magnetically complex sunspot group (Beta class), should be seeing that cross the midpoint by Thursday or Friday.
