SPACE - S0 - 20210111 - Superflare/Dwarf Nova Studies, Solar Wind, Happy Birthday Kat
Good Morning, 0bservers!
Solar winds topped out at 340 KPS yesterday but began another gentle slide downward to around 280 KPS at 0800 UTC before it did a straight-line jump UP back to around 350 KPS. Same things happened for Particle Density and Temperature, but there were no anomalous Phi Angle shifts or disturbances around the same time, so that's a bit odd. We're still seeing pretty quiet KP-Index readings for the third day, KP-0s and KP-1s, but luckily we're getting just enough of a breeze there to keep the cosmic rays away. Proton Flux/Electron Flux/Magnetometer readings are all nominal. The X-Ray Flux isn't showing the minor disturbances noted in yesterday's report, pretty calm and settled with the background just at or above the bottom of the Class A flare range.
