SPACE - S0 - 20210118 - The Liquid Sun, Solar Storm Ozone Destruction

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar wind speeds stayed on the lower end of calm all through yesterday and this morning, currently in the 280-290 KPS range. Particle Density had a very small, slow, and steady rise, while the Temperature was steady and low. There was a Phi Angle shift around 1500 UTC yesterday for a couple of hours, but it doesn't appear to have a measurable effect on the other readings. The KP-Index calmed again yesterday with half the readings at KP-0, but there were a couple KP-2s to blow away any cosmic rays. X-Ray Flux background readings remained in the upper third of the Class A flare chart, but there was a spike to mid-Class B around midday UTC and some more bumps and spikes that approached or touch the Class B line. The Northern coronal hole developed a new tendril further Southward, into the mid latitudes. Also seeing a new coronal hole developing just South of the equator, leading the new bright spot just turning in from the Eastern lim.
