SPACE - S0 - 20210511 - CME Expected Tomorrow, Galactic Magnetic Wave Detected

Solar wind speeds peaked early yesterday just under 370 KPS. However, it did drop under 310 KPS around 2000 UTC last night, but went back up to the 360 KPS range. It's still moving about quite a lot (down, then back). Particle Density has gone down since yesterday, but stayed relatively steady since around 1800 UTC. Temperatures dropped sharply around 0200 UTC, but they returned back to previous levels about four hours later. The Phi Angle is really a jumble today, so this may be driving some odd jumps and drops in the other charts. The KP-Index stayed pretty much at KP-2 levels all of yesterday, but we've had a couple KP-1 readings this morning. Normal/Nominal (Norminal? Thanks, Everyday Astronaut!) readings from the Magnetogram, Proton Flux and Electron Flux charts. The X-Ray Flux Charts were relatively calm yesterday, but after midnight UTC there have been a number of small jumps into lower-B Class flare range, kind of like a long rumble of distant thunder. A mostly vertical coronal hole developed just at the midpoint yesterday without issue, but we're seeing a new coronal hole developing in the South. It is already connecting with the South polar hole and gaining in size and strength. I'm seeing a new bright spot starting to appear at the Southeast lim, while the Northern sunspot group continues to march toward the center. It now has a smaller spot almost directly South if it below the equator and above the new coronal hole system. The larger Northern one is displaying Beta-Gamma-Delta complexity, whereas the Southern one looks to be at least Beta, possibly Beta-Delta.
By the bye, the weather here is getting a bit better after all that weekend rain. 39°F in Fort Wayne, IN with a high of 56°F. More clouds and slightly cooler, but that gorgeous sunrise outside is proof that Epstein Didn't Kill Himself While Aiming Chinese Space Station Modules at Vote Recount Audits with Racist Covid Rules. Just sayin'...
