SPACE - S0 - 20210514 - Two Solar Eruptions, Earthquake Uptick, Climate Surprises

Good Morning, 0bservers!

A calmer day on the Sun yesterday and this morning, from all the charts. Solar wind speeds have moved below 400 KPS, Particle Density hit a low point for the day around 1900 UTC before beginning a slow, steady and small rise, Temperatures are within normal parameters. The Phi Angle has been rock solid throughout the last 30 hours or so, and the Bt/Bz is far calmer and steadier than the gaps and jumps we saw on Wednesday. KP-Index readings are also down, with KP-2s predominating yesterday, and we're now seeing KP-1s this morning (with a KP-0 reported at 0300 UTC). Nominal readings from the Magnetometer, Proton Flux and Electron Flux. There was a minor flare spike on the X-Ray Flux, into the upper-B Class range, but it returned to a lower background radiation level of mid-A Class. Looks like that came from the Southern sunspot group, you can see a small expulsion around that timeframe, but I can't tell if it escaped the solar atmosphere. If it did, it's headed right at us because it blew just as the sunspot passed the center. The Southern coronal hole is still crossing the midpoint as well, and I'm seeing a new latitudinal coronal hole developing right along the equator. Just below and to the East (left) of it s that small sunspot which crossed the lim a couple of days ago. That one is showing Alpha complexity, bordering on Beta, but it is pretty dispersed. The Northern one is far more complex, but there seem to be signs of decay.
