Good Morning, 0bservers!

May The FOURTH Be With You!

Solar wind speeds seem to have stabilized back to the low end of normal, dropping as low as 275 KPS yesterday, now in the 300-325 KPS range. That said, the Phi Angle has been pretty "shifty" over the last 24 hours. The KP-Index was in the KP-1 to KP-0 range for a good portion of yesterday, but it ramped up to KP-3 just before midnight, and then ramping back down to KP-1 for the last two readings. A new bright spot has developed at about 25° South, and should cross the midpoint in about 2-3 days. I checked the Solar Visible Light animation on SWPC, and it's not showing any underlying sunspots that I could detect. Did see some magnificent magnetic prominences along the lim of the Southeast at 304Å. A rather sharp Mag 5.9 well off the Southern tip of Japan, a pair of Mag 5.1 temblors off Tonga and the Easter Island region, and a Mag 5.2 off the Izu Islands well East of Japan.
