Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar winds stayed in the calm range for almost all of yesterday, but there was a slow density rise during the day followed by a strong drop just after midnight UTC, which seems to have raised the wind speed but in a very odd way. It's been jumping up and down between 300-350 KPS, and then showed some severe brief spikes (which may be cosmic ray hits on the detectors). If they're real, though, there was a brief spike to 600 KPS, which is pretty doubtful. The Phi Angle was variable as well. The KP-Index stayed mostly in the KP-1 to KP-2 range, but there was a KP-3 reading just after midnight. The coronal hole "tendril" coming up from the South polar hole is crossing the midpoint, with the bright spot tucked in right behind. No appearance of flaring or releases from the bright spot, but we'll still be in the strike zone if it decides to pop for at least 72 hours. A couple of quakes yesterday, a Mag 5.2 south of the Guatemala coast, and another deepwater quake at Mag 5.5 between Tonga and American Samoa.
