SPACE - S0 - 20200511 - More Pole Shift News, World-Ships, Weather Alert
Good Morning, 0bservers!
We saw a shift in solar magnetism around 1400 UTC, precipitating a solar wind speed jump from 285 KPS to 325 KPS, topping to 350 KPS early this morning. It has settled back down to 330 KPS. The particle density also jumped at the same time as the speed, but has settled down since then. The up-side of this change was getting the KP-Index off the floor, pretty much ending the Cosmic Ray Health Warning from yesterday as it rose to the KP-2 index, with a KP-3 reading before midnight. No coordinated coronal holes at the equator, but there does seem to be a new tendril developing from and connecting to the Southern polar hole. If it develops fully we'll see it pass the midpoint within 72 hours. No bright spots of note along the surface and no major glow at the Eastern lim. The lithosphere was a bit busier in the past 24 hours, with a Mag 5.5 blot echo in Chile, a Mag 5.8 off the coast of Hitachi Japan, and a Mag 5.6 deepwater quake off Indonesia.
