SPACE - S0 - 20200528 - Sun Erupts, Tropical Storm, Blasts from Space
Good Morning, 0bservers!
The solar winds seem to have switched to a solar breeze, with speeds dropping into the 290-310 KPS range. The Phi Angle shift yesterday actually seems to have slowed down the winds. As to the KP-Index, that was definitely on the deck, with KP-0s and KP-1s on the chart. The equatorial holes passed a little while ago, but there are no new ones (yet) to follow. The bright spot that just crossed the Southeast lim seems to have competition in the Northeast, that should be interesting to see once it comes into range for sunspot scanning. Quake activity seems to have calmed down from yesterday (and Vanuatu is probably relieved), with the only temblors of note being a Mag 5.4 along the Mid-Indian Ridge and a Mag 5.9 off the coast of Tonga. Two late entries include a Mag 5.0 off the Solomon Islands, and a Mag. 5.8 in the Kermadec Islands region.
