SPACE - S0 - 20200507 - Closest Plasma Core, Ocean Salinity, Cold Wave Alert

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Had some continuation of the odd spikes in solar wind speeds, but this time they jumped up from 300 KPS to 440 KPS, stayed in the higher ranges for a few hours, then dropped back down to the ambient speed. Those spikes/plateaus may be due to Cosmic Ray production. Current speed has crept up from a low of 290 KPS to a current 325 KPS. The KP-Index stayed at KP-or almost all of yesterday, but the last reading jumped up to KP-3. The larger of the bright spots is crossing the midpoint at this report, with some very small and scattered spots appearing as they cross the Eastern lim. Some coronal hole development at the lower Northern latitudes, but they're still a bit disorganized. There was a Mag 5.2 in Kyrgyzstan, a Mag 5.3 in Peru, and a bodacious blot echo off Indonesia at Mag 6.8 in the low velocity zone, over 60 miles deep.
