SPACE - S0 - 20200525 - Big Storms, Ocean Forcing, Primordial Fields

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar wind speeds were in the 330-350 KPS range most of yesterday, but dropped a bit to the 310-330 KPS range, all quite calm. A slight hiccup in the Phi Angle bumped up the KP-Index to KP-3 in the mid-afternoon, but since then it's stayed in the KP-1 to KP-2 range. The coronal hole extending from the South pole is continuing to extend Northward as it passes the midpoint today, and there's one developing along the equator that should reach the meridian in about 36-48 hours. Bright spots continue to decay, but watch the Southeast lim in that there appears to be a brightness that may foretell another one (including a CME yesterday morning, which will NOT have an effect on Earth. Not as much quake activity as yesterday, with a Mag 5.1 in the South Sandwich Islands Region, and another 5.0 deepwater quake about 120 miles NNE of New Caledonia.
