SPACE - S0 - 20200529 - Big Solar Flare, Calling-Out NASA, Ozone Extinction
Good Morning, 0bservers!
Solar winds remained in the relative interstellar doldrums overnight and this morning, currently down to the 270-290 KPS range. The Phi Angle was a bit mixed up, but that didn't seem to affect speed, density or temperature. As to the KP-Index, you could've used it as a (very low) ironing board, as the reading stayed at KP-1 the entire day yesterday, only dropping to KP-0 a few hours ago. Now, the X-Ray Flux, that's another story. That new bright spot on the Northeast lim (around the 10 o'clock position on the disc) surged and popped off quite a bit, with steady state X-Rays in the Class A to Class B range, and a single spike a while ago that actually crossed into the Class M field. If you had the Disaster Prediction App from Suspicious0bservers [Apple] [Android], you would have already been notified of this. Actual expulsions from that bright spot won't hit the Earth, but it's still going to have some effects on our planet if this keeps up. No ejecta noted from the LASCO C3 video, however. The lithosphere was far more quiescent than yesterday, with mostly just blot echo activity in the Mag 4.2-5.1 range, and a late-breaking Mag 5.2 in Japan.
