Good Morning, 0bservers!
Solar winds jumped up a bit overnight, from a low just under 300 KPS to around 345 KPS. It doesn't appear to be caused by any fluctuations in the Phi Angle, nor particle density nor temperature. And since it's still within the low range of solar winds, it doesn't seem to be anything more than a brief "gust" than a sustained increase. The Phi Angle has stayed in the KP-0 to KP-1 range, with a KP-2 popped in just before midnight. The coronal hole tendril from the South pole has passed central heliographic longitude, and a couple of equatorial holes are approaching the midpoint today as well. Those are a bit less organized, though, so we'll see what effect it may have by the weekend. The lithosphere was particularly jumpy in the region of Vanuatu, first with a Mag 5.4, and then eight hours later a Mag 6.1, a Mag 5.1 and 5.0 early this morning. Also had a Mag 5.0 off the coast of Greece, a Mag 5.2 along the Southern East Pacific Rise, and a Mag 5.2 less than 10 miles from Hirara Japan.
