SPACE - S0 - 20201121 - Solar Flares, Two Catastrophes Ago, Great Mars Flood
Good Morning, 0bservers!
Solar winds briefly hit 400 KPS yesterday in the mid-morning UTC, but it calmed through the day and night to around 330 KPS at present. Particle density went down as well, but did have a minor rebound early this morning. Temperatures were steady to slightly lower. Thankfully the KP-Index has stayed in the green range and off the deck (with only one KP-0), mostly KP-2s. Magnetometer readings have stabilized after yesterday's sharp dip, but the X-Ray Flux has gotten busy. That previous day's surge into lower Class B flare range stepped up from there to lower Class C, with another B flare a couple hours ago. They appear to be coming, of course, from the Southern sunspot groups, both the long-chain still in the Southeast quadrant approaching the midpoint, but also from the incoming lim. Especially noticeable on 131Å in the video loops.
