SPACE - S0 - 20201126 - Venus is the Next Earth, Universe of Chaos, Solar Plasma
Happy Thanksgiving, 0bservers!
Solar wind speeds stayed pretty much under 400 KPS all of yesterday and this morning so far. Particle density is still elevated, but the temperature has gone down slightly in the last couple of hours. The KP-Index stayed green yesterday, but we DID get a couple of KP-3 readings and double that for KP-2s. The Electron Flux and Magnetometer readings are not too far off their norms, certainly nothing of risk to Earth. The X-Ray Flux is still riding high in the Class B flare range, with a small spike into Class C a few hours ago. That might have been from a bit of late-breaking sparking from a new bright spot in the North just approaching the lim. The Southern hole still looks massive and scary on the Magnetogram, though. Coronal holes are pretty much non-existent at the moment.
