SPACE - S0 - 20201123 - Galactic Magnetic Reversal, Huge Sunspot, Nova Repeats
Good Morning, 0bservers!
Solar wind speeds calmed slightly overnight. It stayed in the 600-650 KPS range most of yesterday, but started to slide down to around the 550-570 range after midnight UTC. Particle Density and Temperature stayed steady at an elevated level. We did see a spike yesterday afternoon on the KP-Index up to KP-5 (moderate solar storm level) with a lot of KP-4 readings (minor solar storm) before and after that spike. From midnight UTC on, it's dropped back into the green range. The Magnetometer readings have stabilized, but the Electron Flux has jumped up to just below the threshold levels. The X-Ray Flux had some spikes yesterday into the C Class flare range, but has calmed slightly to the high B Class levels. Looks like that activity is coming from the new sunspot group which has now crossed the Souteast lim.
